Got the word from a lifehacker article that DreamHost was practically giving away hosting. 95% off a 2 year hosting agreement plus a free domain (one year) which works out to $10.47.
After about 20 minutes of frustration, I emailed sales about the site being down.
Ten minutes later, I some how got through but ended up paying $21.48 (still not too bad).
Then a rep from DreamHost emailed me...

My take on this DIY project.
I picked up some cork tiles at the dollar store and used some maps instead of fabric. I placed push pins on locations where I used to live. Not sure how I want to arrange them.
